The B747-400 is the latest in the B747
series, and with its advanced electronic technology and system automation,
the aircraft can be flown by a two-member cockpit crew. Used exclusively
for international routes, the aircraft employs small extended wing-tips
known as "winglets" in order to reduce the air resistance
of the wing.
