JAL GROUP FLIGHT SCHEDULE CHANGES － IRAQ AND SARS

Tokyo April 8: The Japan Airlines Group today announced further changes to its international passenger flight schedule for the first half of FY2003, following earlier changes announced March 13 and 26. The latest changes include more frequency cuts, route consolidations and suspensions and reflect the reduced passenger demand following the Iraq war and the outbreak of SARS in certain regions in Asia, which has resulted in recommendations from the World Health organization (WHO) and the Japanese government to curtail non-essential travel to the region. As a result, tour operators have suspended operations to Hong Kong and southern China, adding to the fall in passenger bookings. The changes listed below were filed with the Japan government’s aviation authorities today.
