JAL WINTER SCHEDULE 2004/5 FOCUSSES ON NEW CHUBU AIRPORT
Tokyo, September 16: JAL¡Çs winter schedule for 2004/2005 reflects adjustment of capacity to demand on the international network and takes into account the new business opportunity presented by the opening of the new Chubu International Airport in February 2005, replacing the old Nagoya Airport (Komaki). The new airport will improve international access from the Nagoya region, notably to Europe, China and Asia. Introduction of more new aircraft into the fleet will give JAL more flexibility in operating extra flights and charters. On the domestic front, JAL is equipping more aircraft with its new premium seating cabin, Class J, introduced in June and currently enjoying a high load factor.
