Apology for the Cancellation of the Domestic Flight Limited Time Sale

Thank you very much for your continued support for the JAL Group.

We regret to inform you that the "JAL Smile Campaign", domestic flight ticket time sale has been discontinued due to a system failure with no prospect of recovery. 
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and distrust we have caused to many customers, including those who were looking forward to purchasing tickets and those who accessed our website outside of the time sale. 

The "JAL Smile Campaign" domestic flight ticket time sale, which began at 12:00 a.m. on March 9, 2023 (JST) , was accessed by far more customers than we had expected, and our system was unable to handle the traffic. The system was unable to cope with the situation, and many customers were unable to connect to the website immediately after the sale. We made every effort to restore the system and resume sales, but we were unable to take effective countermeasures, and sales were suspended at 2:00 p.m. on the same day. We recognize that we were not fully prepared for this situation, and we regret that we were unable to meet the expectations of our customers.

We are currently continuing to investigate the cause of the system failure, and based on the results of the investigation, we will consider measures to prevent recurrence and develop new promotions to meet customer expectations as much as possible.
We sincerely apologize once again for any inconvenience this may have caused to our customers and other concerned parties.
