Submission of Recurrence Prevention Measures in Response to Administrative Guidance (Administrative Warning)

On May 23, 2026, alcohol was detected during a pre-flight alcohol test administered to a cabin attendant scheduled to operate Flight JL252 (from Hiroshima Airport to Tokyo International Airport (Haneda)). As a result, immediate arrangements were made to replace the individual. However, securing a replacement cabin attendant required additional time, resulting in a flight delay.
Following the receipt of an Administrative Guidance (Administrative Warning) regarding this matter from the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism on June 12, 2026, we submitted our recurrence prevention measures today, on July 17, 2026.

We take extremely seriously the fact that despite advancing preventive measures in response to repeated alcohol-related improper incidents, this incident has occurred.
With a firm determination to never allow another alcohol-related improper incident to occur, the entire JAL Group will work together as one to devote our full efforts toward restoring the trust of society and our valued customers.
