New Year痴 Greetings

As we ring in the New Year, I would like to take this opportunity to offer my warm greetings to everyone.

First of all, please allow me to express my sincere appreciation to each and every one of our valued guests who flew with the JAL Group last year.

In 2017, we announced the JAL Group Medium Term Management Plan for Fiscal Years 2017 to 2020, under the theme "Challenge, Leading to Growth." This new mid-term plan puts in place the JAL Vision, which outlines our plan to become the airline we are striving to be for our guests around the world, the regions we fly, and the society we occupy.

In the process to realize the JAL Vision, we launched innovative products and services such as Dokokani Mile (Japan痴 first-ever domestic award ticket to fly to a random destination for 6,000 miles) and a mobile app for aircraft maintenance, we pursued innovations in business processes using cutting-edge digital technologies, the results of which contributed to increasing corporate value and profitability. We have been fortunate to receive high praise from customers and society for such activities.
We will continue to work to refine our business as a full-service carrier, and we will steadily forge ahead while making necessary capital expenditures for safety and high-quality service, embracing new challenges in response to global changes, and creating values that will deliver a refreshing and inspiring experience to every customer.

Furthermore, as part of workstyle innovation, last year we implemented "workation," a combination of "work" and "vacation," and took actions to improve systems and cultivate a culture that facilitates employee vacation planning.
We will continue to embrace workstyle innovation and challenge ourselves to various initiatives to build a friendly working environment for all our employees.

This year, we will continue to be grateful for every customer who chooses to fly with us, serving them sincerely with attention to individual needs through joint efforts of all JAL Group staff, and move forward one step at a time so that we may become the world痴 most preferred and valued airline.
