Cabin Attendants

Offering the finest hospitability in high quality cabins

ABOUT

Cabin attendants have two major roles to play; transporting customers safely to their destination as security personnel and providing customers with unparalleled service as service personnel. To ensure the passengers' safety, they perform flight duty while using their five senses at all times. Customers use aircraft for various purposes and their thoughts and needs vary from person to person. Cabin attendants serve customers in a manner to deliver a refreshing and inspiring travel experience.

INTERVIEW

We offer all services available in the cabin such as information in the cabin, drink service and meal service to provide a comfortable environment for passengers. We also execute security duties, such as taking care of sick passengers or dealing with irregular situations.

Some passengers hesitate to call us even if they need something. To ensure that every passenger is satisfied, we do our best to sense their needs by their facial expression or behavior and approach them. We increase our sensitivity to detect the slightest change and serve the passengers spontaneously, instead of waiting to be asked to do something. Our greatest joy is to serve them with attentive care and have customers say, "We want to use JAL again."

We work in coordination with various sections. For example, we share information on passengers with special needs which we receive from the airport. We check with mechanics when we have concerns, and check special loads and Priority Guests with the pilots. By promoting coordination and teamwork among cabin attendants on a daily basis, we are able to respond speedily in an emergency and provide customers with a sense of security.

There is no right answer in our job, but I will do my best by putting myself in the customers' position and taking action. I will keep in mind to meet the customers' requests as best as I can, and create a memorable flight, even if it is a short flight, instead of providing a simple means of transportation.
