Here we will discuss the burden that is placed on the environment, and how to address it.
Global Warming
Aircraft use fossil fuels (jet fuel and aviation gasoline) to fly, which emits CO2 (carbon dioxide), a cause of global warming. We have implemented a variety of measures to reduce CO2 emissions, even by a little.
Noise
Major improvements have been made to the noises emitted by aircraft, but there is still more to be done. We have increased the use of state of the art aircraft that are less noisy, and have put into practice methods of flying that reduce noise as much as possible.
Waste Materials
As an airline that flies aircraft, we have a wide variety of waste items that come out of our activities. These include cans and bottles used for drinks on board the aircraft, newspapers that are read on board, in-flight magazines, and polyethylene sheets used for air cargo packaging, etc. We try as much as possible to not just throw these things away as garbage, but to recycle them.
Air and Water Pollution
Not only exhaust gas from aircraft engines, but other substances which can pollute the air and water such as those used to clean, paint and maintain the aircraft cannot be avoided. We have implemented a number of measures to reduce these pollutants.
