Note
- *Once the primary member returns to Japan, JAL Family Club membership will be withdrawn from registered family members and JALFC benefits such as mileage pooling for award redemption will no longer be available. (For JALCARD members, mileage pooling will be available if you register for the JALCARD Family Program.)
- *Members who have a JAL Family Club Card should discard it and use only the JMB Card or JALCARD in the future.
- *JALCARD primary members and JAL Family Club primary members are no longer eligible for the JALCARD annual fee discount award after withdrawing from the JAL Family Club.
When not all family members will return to Japan at the same time
It is possible to continue enjoying JAL Family Club benefits after a primary member returns to japan, provided some family members remain in countries other than Japan, and a new primary member is registered. Please note, primary members must be over 12 years old.

When returning permanently to Japan, up to two pieces of baggage per family will be delivered free of charge from the eligible airport to the location of your choice.

- Each piece of baggage should not exceed a maximum linear dimension of 160 cm (D x W x H) and a maximum weight of 30 kg.
However, suitcases and Boston bags exceeding a maximum linear dimension of 160 cm are accepted as long as they are within 30 kg.- *Baggage criteria may differ from the baggage allowance (size and weight of one piece of baggage) associated with the user's boarding class.
- *Some items are prohibited from delivery:

- Please bring your coupon to the JALABC service counter.
When eligible members board eligible flights with eligible fares when returning permanently to Japan, 2 pieces of baggage will be free of charge per person in addition to the standard baggage allowance.
This service requires application beforehand. Please be aware that we cannot accept your application on the day at the airport.

- To request this service, please select "Excess Baggage Charge Partial Exemption Service" located on the top page displayed after logging into the special site for JAL Family Club. We will send an email to confirm the result in approximately 5 business day after reviewing your request

*This service is not available when traveling on an itinerary originating from outside Japan on an originating flight operated by another airline. In such cases, subsequent flights operated by JAL within such itineraries are also ineligible for this service.
*JAL domestic flight sectors connecting from international flights within 24 hours of the arrival of the international flight are eligible. However, codeshare flights are not eligible.
