A New Level of Cleanliness in the Air.
JAL is promoting JAL FlySafe initiatives to ensure safe and secure air travel for our customers.
JAL has been diligently cleaning, disinfecting and applying antiviral and antibacterial coating* to customer touch areas including airport counters, lounges and aircraft cabins. To further enhance the effectiveness of these measures, we have been collaborating with Kao Corporation (Kao), Japanese leading company in the fields of hygiene and health, since December 2021. In cooperation with Kao, which provides solutions for infectious diseases to medical facilities leveraging its expertise, JAL’s cleaning manual has been improved, and hygiene conditions and infectious disease measures in airports and airplanes are regularly inspected.
We would like to introduce this project together with the thoughts of the employees of both companies.

JAL became the only carrier in Asia to receive three certifications by external evaluation organizations in recognition of JAL FlySafe hygiene and infectious disease measures including the world’s best cleanliness and hygiene practices.*
