JAL’s Technology Takes off to the Moon!

To realize a future where lunar travel is possible, the JAL Group is co-sponsoring ispace‘s HAKUTO-R program and has entered into a business partnership to provide capital and technical cooperation.
On December 11, 2022, ispace‘s lunar lander was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida.
After a three-to-five-month voyage, it is expected to land on the moon’s surface.
If successful, ispace will become the first private Japanese company to land on the moon.
