Application terms
By applying for this contest, you are deemed to have agreed to these application terms. When applying, applicants shall comply with the operating methods (including screening methods, standards, etc.) of Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Sponsor"), and shall not raise any objections to such operating methods. Masu. If the entry rules are violated, or if the organizer recognizes similar or duplicate entries after the winning entry has been decided, the winning entry will be canceled and a request for return of prizes etc. may be made.
About the Entry works
- Photos, Work titles, and Applicant comments (hereinafter referred to as "entrant works") must be taken and created by the applicants themselves, and all rights (copyrights) belong to the applicants. Even if trouble (complaints or objections such as infringement of rights or damages from a third party) arises due to the publication of the submitted photo, the organizer will not be held responsible and the applicant will be responsible for all matters.
- All Entry works must be unpublished and original. If the same or similar work is currently being applied for, or is scheduled to be entered in, or has won a prize in the past in another contest, regardless of its size, it will be considered a duplicate entry and cannot be submitted to this contest. Not accepted. However, photos that have been confirmed as unsuccessful in other contests, photos created by the applicant and posted on non-profit personal websites, SNS (blogs, etc.), and photos posted on the applicant's own page on photo sharing websites. It is possible to submit photos that have been posted.
- Photos that have undergone extensive digital image processing (composition, transformation, etc.) using software will not be accepted.
- We will not return the submitted application data.
- All expenses incurred in connection with the photo shoot and application will be borne by the applicant.
- Once you have applied, you cannot cancel your application.
Regarding copyright and usage rights of Entry works
The copyright of the entry work belongs to the applicant. However, the organizer has the right to use the selected entry (hereinafter referred to as the "winning work") based on the "rights of the organizer" specified below.
Organizer's rights
- The winning entries will be used by the organizer in various media of the organizer and the JAL Group (JAL in-flight magazines, printed matter such as JAL Group related booklets and pamphlets, mobile phones, Posting on electronic communication media such as the Internet or video footage), displaying at airports, outdoors, JAL-related facilities, etc., using at such events, using in JAL Group free or paid postcards, photo books, etc. The winner shall have the non-exclusive right under the copyright law to use and publish the prizes free of charge and for an unlimited period of time without requiring the permission of the prizewinners, and for any purposes incidental to that.
- In the use of the preceding paragraph, the organizer shall display the title and photographer's name on the winning work, edit and modify the winning work, such as adding cropping, image effects, music and sound effects, and then display all or part of the winning work.
- Regarding 1 to 2 above, the prize winner shall not exercise the author's moral rights (Articles 18 to 20 of the Copyright Act).
About the examination results
Strict judging will be conducted by one chief judge, one special judge, and six judges (including the organizer's representative) requested by the organizer. Please note that we cannot accept inquiries regarding the screening results.
Handling of personal information
The personal information of applicants obtained by the organizer when applying for this contest (hereinafter referred to as "personal information") will be handled as follows.
- Purpose of use:
To conduct, manage, and promote this contest, such as contacting entrants, selecting entries, confirming the identity of winners, and handing over prizes, and other related purposes, as well as providing information on related travel products from the JAL Group. We will use it to the extent necessary. - Disclosure to third parties:
Personal information will be disclosed to the organizer and to the extent necessary for this contest (contest judges and JAL Group related parties related to this contest). Unless otherwise required by law, personal information will not be disclosed to third parties for purposes other than this contest without the consent of the applicant. - Display of place of residence and age:
When displaying the name of the photographer of the winning work, we may publish the place of residence (prefecture) and age (in your 20s, etc.) provided at the time of application.

Application method
- Applications will only be accepted on the dedicated website. (We cannot accept mailed or brought in items.)
- Please send one image data saved in JPG format of 5MB or less. If it is more than 5MB, please compress it before applying. For works taken with a film camera, please scan and convert to JPG format image data of 5MB or less (save at the highest resolution possible) before applying.
*Winning works will be printed on large display panels, so we may ask you to provide higher resolution image data. Please save the original image data of the entry work until the winners are announced. - One work (photo and comment) will be accepted for each application. An individual can apply up to the second time.
- Click "Apply for Photo Contest", fill in the required information in each field, and apply with the image of your entry.

Prize winner announcement
After selecting the winning works, we will announce them on our website. (Scheduled for June 2024)
*Comments on "About Tancho (Red-Crowned CRANE)" will also be judged.
Prize notification
After the examination is complete, the winners will be contacted by the email address or phone number you provided when you applied, and the prize will be confirmed once your identity has been verified.
Please note that if we cannot contact you within two weeks after notification, you will be disqualified for any reason.
